Our Story

We don’t believe in the “ethnic aisle”

We live in such a big beautiful world, full of culture, flavors and spices, and in most grocery stores all of this is crammed into one aisle–the “ethnic aisle”.

I discovered what a disservice this is back in 2020, at the peak of the pandemic.

I grew up in Los Angeles surrounded by cuisine from around the world with specialty ethnic markets on every block. Cooking global dishes came easy.

When my husband and  I decided to pack our bags and move halfway across the country, we didn’t stop to think that cooking our favorite dishes would soon become a mission. Quite quickly we learned that the global ingredients we had easy access to before weren’t so easy to find anymore.

We found ourselves driving to one edge of town for Chinese black bean sauce and all the way to the other edge of town for chile ancho.

There had to be an easier way to find all the world’s ingredients…

And that is why we created Glooob Cart (pronounced globe cart).
